The K*I*S*S* Fitness Gym
At this writing I am planning to open a gym in the basement of my home. Presently, my home gym is equipped with horizontal and vertical K*I*S*S* Exercisers as well as a Concept 2 Bike Erg (stationary bicycle). It is perfect for my own needs. The gym is clean, dry, and spacious in spite of the fact that my home is almost 200 years old.
There is space in the gym to add at least four additional Exercisers. With the addition of these Exercisers, the gym could handle up to six fitness clients at the same time. This is a small group. I personally like this as it would enable me to give personal attention to each of my clients. I would be on hand whenever the gym is open for exercise sessions. These sessions would only be by appointment. Each client’s session at the gym would essentially be a session with me as a personal trainer with instruction in the use of the Exercisers as well as monitoring of each client’s progress. I am a Certified Personal Trainer with additional training related to “older adults.” On a practical level, and much more important, is the fact that I have over 60 years of experience with various forms of athletics including both strength and cardio activities and that, even at an advanced age, am still competitive as a runner in my age group.
The purpose of the gym project would be to make use of the Exercisers available to the local community. If there is public interest in the project, this will be justification for building the additional Exercisers that will make the project a reality. Needless to say, this would be the only such gym in the world!
